International Bhojpuri mahotsav tomorrow

Representatives from nearly half a dozen countries, including England, Australia and Mauritius, will participate in International Bhojpuri Mahotsav here tomorrow to discuss ways and means to enhance cultural exchange among them.

Members from Mauritius, England, Muscat Oman, Nepal, Singapore and Australia have confirmed participation in the mahotsav here tomorrow, programme organiser and Chairman of Bhojpuri Academy R K Dubey said today.

The festival, to be inaugurated by Bihar Governor D Y Patil, is part of completion of 35 years of establishment of Bhojpuri Academy by the Bihar government for promotion of Bhojpuri language and culture, Dubey said.

Highlighting richness of Bhojpuri language, Dubey said more than 25 crore people in 20 countries speak Bhojpuri language.
 

Famous Bhojpuri singers Malini Awasthi, Manoj Tiwari and Mauritius famous singer and actor Devi Risal would also perform on the occasion.
