The Thiruvananthapuram International book fair, organised by the Kerala Institute of Children's literature, began today at the Kanakakkunnu palace grounds here.
A total of 200 individual book stalls have been set up at the venue which would be open from 10 am to 8 pm, organisers said in a release here.
The fair would offer a variety of books at attractive prices with discounts. Seminars and book releases would also be held as part of the fair to promote reading habit among children.
A seminar on 'ethical aura of Mahabharata' would be held tomorrow which would be followed by a cultural night. Another seminar on 'changing face of nationalism' would be held on December 23, which would be inaugurated by CPI state secretary Pannian Raveendran, the release said.
