The objective of the three-day conference to be organised from February 1 to 3 is to promote an understanding and appreciation of the art and philosophy of Buddhism.
"We are hopeful that about two hundred foreign delegates and another hundred from the country will attend the conference," Secretary, Institute of Maritime south East & Asian Studies Sunil Kumar Patnaik, said.
"It is a matter of pride for the district that an international event like this is being organised here. We will be careful about the comfort, travel, accommodation, security, sanitation and facilities for delegates, Sub Collector of Jajpur Maheswar Panigrahi.
"All preparations are to be completed by the end of January next year," said Panigrahi.
