The delegation was led by Deputy Prime Minister of Zimbabwe, Arthur Mutambara, who appreciated the center being run for welfare of women and children.
Mutambara said in Africa, there were many countries where expecting mothers and new borns died due to malnutrition.
He said he would recommend the government there to initiate such a scheme for providing nutritious food and health care to women and children.
The officials of Woman and Child department of state government apprised the delegation about the Anganwadi scheme, which was launched in India in 1975.
At the centers, children below the age of six years and expecting mothers were vaccinated and got nutritious food, the delegation was informed.
There are 25,699 anganwari centers running in 127 villages and 12 towns of Haryana, they were told.
Madhugaur Yashki, Lok Sabha Member from Andhra Pradesh who is also member of Global Youth Leaders, accompanied the delegation, which has come to India to participate in the World Economic Forum summit being organised here from November 6 to 8.
