The 66th annual Aalmi Tablighi Ijtema (international islamic congregation) began this morning with Namaz-e-fajir (morning prayer) at Eintkheri, about 12 km from here, in the presence of a large number of Islamic scholars from India and abroad.

Ijtema organising committee member Atique-ul-Isalm said that delegates from Indonesia, Malaysia, Sri lanka, Thailand, Turkey, Russia, America, Kirghistan, Sri Lanka, France, Iran and Nepal are taking part in the meet.

Scholars, including Maulana Zubair-ul-Hasan (Hazrat ji), Maulana Saad, Maulana Ahmad Laat, Maulana Shaukat Sahab and many others, will deliver sermons on the life and practise of Prophet Mohammad, the teachings of Quraan and on the Islamic Shariat (Law) during the event.

The Ijtema was being held annually at Tajul Masajid in Bhopal from 1949, but seven years ago the venue shifted to Eintkheri.
