International Ramzan peace conference in Malappuram

The International Ramzan Peace Conference, also considered as the largest prayer meet on the night of 26th of Ramzan in the country, would be held at Malappuram on July 31.

The mammoth meet will take pledge against terrorism and alchoholism and pray for peace, harmony and affection.

Thousands of people from different parts of the country as well as foreign countries are expected to attend the specail ramzan prayer session organised by Ma'din Academy, a leading educational centre, based in Malappuram.

Congregation will be held at Swalath nagar situated on the Kozhikode-Palakkad national highway, about 3km from Malappuram town.

'It is the duty of every individual and socio-religious organisations to fight against the evils in the society. With the spiritual experience of the holy night of Ramzan, we teach hem the message of co-existence and moderation' Academy Chairman Sayyid Ibrahim Khaleel Al Bukhari told reporters here today.
 

'India has a rich culture of harmony living.Islam strengthened this through its message of oneness. Every attempt to destroy this tradition is an attempt to tarnish the spirit of Islamic brotherhood', he added.

The Academy established in 1997 now manages 30 educational institutions with nearly 18,500 students on the role. The academy has signed MOU with seven reputed international universities and academic centres around the globe.
