International Yoga Day celebrated at INA

Service personnel and defence civilians from Indian Naval Academy (INA), INS Zamoein and "INHS Navjiani",along with their famiy members, participated in the third International Yoga Day celebrations today, at the INA premises in Ezhimala in nearby Kannur district.

President of Navy Wives Welfare Association (NWWA) and yoga therapist, Meena Bhokare led the practice-cum demonstrationof yoga, organised by INS Zamorin.

The participants performed various asanas, pranayam andmeditation as part of the event.

The mass yoga demonstration today was the culmination of the two-week long yoga instruction camp which commenced on June 8, in association with "The Art of Living Foundation" at Payyanur in Kannur district, a release from INA said.
 

The camp was aimed at creating awareness about the benefits ofyoga and to make it an integral part of life in keepingwith this year's theme "Yoga for Health", it said.

INA Commandant Vice Admiral S V Bhokare and INA principal Rear Admiral Amit Vikram, besides many other senior officers of INA were present on the occasion.
