The two-day event, organised by BDA Steel International in association with DGC, was inaugurated by DGC president Manmohan Singh here.

The event will witness budding golfers compete for top honours in team and individual segments in four different age groups, with maximum age limit being 18 years and the minimum being eight years.

Each team will comprise four players, one in each category, and the gross score of the best three golfers will be taken into consideration for the School Trophy.

"The core motive behind organising this tournament is to give budding golfers the required launch pad and to show their skills to the rest of the world and enhance their capabilities," the chairman of BDA Steel International, Promd Aggarwal, said.
