Interstate arms supply gang busted, 2 held

Police today claimed to have busted an inter-state arms supply gang with the arrest of two persons during a surprise check on UP-Haryana border.

Superintendent of Police Subhash Singh Bhagel today said that police intercepted two motorcycles at Kairana in Shamli district yesterday and seized eleven pistols of 32 bore, 22 magazines and a large number of cartridges from the duo.

The arrested persons have been identified as Arif and Zishan.

Police said the duo were active in smuggling arms from Madhya Pradesh to UP and are being further interrogated.
