Leading mobile handset maker Intex Technologies has set a target of Rs 5,000 crore turnover this year and said its plans to introduce 20 new smartphones in the run-up to the forthcoming festive season, would help it achieve this turnover.
"We will launch 20 new smartphones with advanced software and features till Deepawali. Seven of the new models will be available on online platform for sale," Intex Technologies' Sharad Agrawal told reporters today.
"In 2016-17, the company had nearly Rs 3,500 crore sales and is hopeful of taking this to Rs 5,500 crore in the current fiscal with the sale of these cellphones," he said.
Earlier, Agrawal announced to launch nine new feature phones, including the Navratna series feature phones in a price bracket of Rs 700 to Rs 1,500.
