Inverter batteries were allegedly stolen from the residence of an additional sessions judge in south Delhi's Saket, the police said today.
The victim realised about the theft when there was a power failure yesterday.
In his complaint, he said that he had five inverters at his house and when the electricity went off, he checked and found out that batteries were missing, the police said.
He checked the CCTV footage and found that a man had come in an auto rickshaw and taken away the batteries from the basement, the complaint said.
The main gates of the residence had been kept open on the day of the theft as guests were coming in for the birthday of the judge's grandson.
