Investment summit in Haryana on the anvil: Khattar

In a bid to attract investment and generate jobs, the Haryana government is planning to hold a special summit in January, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said today.

"The state government will organise an investment summit in January next year to attract investment of Rs one lakh crore besides employment opportunities to four lakh people," Khattar said at the inauguration of Delhi-Faridabad Metro line.

The chief minister also added that his recent visit to the US and Canada had invoked a very enthusiastic response from investors.

Speaking about Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who inaugurated the Metro line today, Khattar said this was his third tour of Haryana in 13 months.
 

He said that it was after 23 years that a Prime Minister has visited Faridabad.

Khattar also said that Faridabad and Gurgaon are two main cities of state which needed to be connected through Metro.

Those present at the occasion included Haryana Governor Kaptan Singh Solanki, Union ministers M Venkaiah Naidu, Birender Singh, Rao Inderjit Singh, Krishan Pal Gujjar, Babul Supriyo.
