Speaking to reporters, Chief Minister Raman Singh said that the proposed investment would offer direct and indirect employment to over six lakh people in the state.
Among the major agreements include the one with the Steel Authority of India Ltd involving an investment of Rs 5,000 crore that would lead to extension of rail network till Kavardha district and setting up of a medical and an engineering colleges at Rajnandgao and Kavardha respectively.
The projects covered under different MoUs include setting up of 302-km long two railway corridors, putting up of pipeline network to carry CNG.
