Octaga Green, city-based maker of Invincible vodka and Master's Imperial whiskey, both priced for the mid-market, will be entering the UAE market shortly after the successful launch in Hong Kong.
"We will be in the UAE within the next two months. We already have identified the distributors. Our plan is to be both in the duty-free as well as retail segments. The next stops will be Africa, Southeast Asia and the Maldives," Octaga Green Managing Director Basab Paul said.
Octaga also has a rum brand which is exported to Russia and its domestic launch is underway. He also said the company is planning to launch a brandy brand shortly.

Invincible Vodka, which recently won two international awards and Master's Imperial together enjoy nine percent market share in Maharashtra. They are also present in Daman and Goa.
The company is in the process of entering Punjab, Chandigarh and Puducherry, Rajasthan, Assam and Kerala.
The privately held Octaga Green Power & Sugar Industries has around Rs 200 crore in debt and is divesting around 23 percent to a couple PE firms for a consideration of around Rs 130 crore, Paul said, but did not disclose the date of deal closure or the name of the PE funds.
Octaga has its bottling plant in Kolhapur, Maharashtra with an annual capacity of 3 lakh cases of vodka/whiskey/ brandy/rum.
Paul is also into restaurants, bars, health and night clubs, etc. The night clubs are run under the Vie brand name and has several touchpoints in Mumbai and Pune.
