Condemning the spot-fixing in IPL matches, 'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani' co-stars Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone today said that the act was sad and shameful.

"I am not cricket fan. It is a shameful act for cricket. Three people have been arrested... All this is not a good thing. IPL is a good platform, there are so many fans... It is a disappointing, shameful act," Ranbir told reporters here at an event.

Echoing similar sentiments, Deepika said, "What has happened is a sad thing. It is shameful. Because of the mistake of one or two people, the entire sporting world gets a bad name."

Deepika's father Prakash Padukone is a former badminton champion.

Ranbir and Deepika were present at the promotional event of their upcoming film 'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani'.

Indian pacer S Sreesanth and other two bowlers-- Ajit Chandila and Ankeet Chavan-- from Rajasthan Royals team have been arrested for spot-fixing IPL matches.
