Emirates, the UAE-based airline which is the sponsor of Deccan Chargers team, staged a coaching clinic in New Delhi for youngsters from Prayas, an NGO dedicated to improving the welfare of underprivileged children.

The budding cricketers got a chance to learn new skills as the stars from Deccan Chargers, including coaches Darren Lehmann and Trevor Penney, gave them cricket tips and guidance on how to excel in the sport.

"We, as international professional players, are the face of cricket and the responsibility of inspiring the next generation of players rests on our shoulders," said South African batsman JP Duminy.

"It is overwhelming to see these children so enthusiastic to learn about cricket and it bodes well for the future of the game in India."

"It was like a dream come true for me to get advice from cricket stars like JP Duminy and Ashish Reddy," said 14-year-old Mohammad Asif.
