IPS officer Satyaveer Singh, who was arrested in a graft case in Kota, was today suspended by the Rajasthan government.
Singh, posted as Superintendent of Police in Kota, was arrested on May 27 and is presently under the custody of Anti-corruption Bureau, an official statement issued by the Department of Personnel said while directing his suspension order.
Singh was arrested by ACB sleuths for allegedly accepting bribe to change a charge sheet in favour of a client, through a couple in Kota.
The officer used to receive bribe amount through the couple -- Nishar Khan and Fahreen Khan -- who have also been arrested by the ACB, it said.
