"The CBI is a Central agency and it has come out with all the true facts about the case and it has helped boost our self-confidence," Vijaywargiya said in a statement.

The chargesheet clarified that there was no hand of any organised gang or mafia in the incident and it exposed the Congress's `misinformation' campaign, he said.

The young IPS officer of the 2009 batch was killed while chasing a tractor-trolley laden with illegally mined stones at Banmore town in Morena district on March 8.

Initially it was alleged that the tractor-trolley owner, Manoj Gurjar, purposely mowed down the officer when he tried to stop the vehicle.

However, Gurjar has been charged under section 304 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder) and 353 (obstructing government work) of IPC, and CBI prosecutor A H Khan said it was "not an intentional murder", nor was it related to the mafia.
