IPS officers transferred in Bihar

In a major reshuffle, the Bihar government has transferred ten Indian Police Service officers in the rank of IG and DIG in the state.

The IG (Railway) Vinay Kumar has been transferred in the same capacity to the CID, while Bhrigu Srinivawas has been transferred from IG, Patna Range to IG Training, while Anupama Nilekar Chandra has been transferred as IG (Budget) and made IG (Hqs), a notification issued by the Home Department late last night said.

Another IG rank official Shailesh Kumar Singh, posted as the IG (Wireless) has been transferred and made the IG (Training).

Sushil M Khopre, DIG (Muzaffarpur Zone) has been promoted and posted as IG (Patna Range).
 

Two DIGs - Ms R Malar Viji, Pankaj Kumar Darad have been promoted in the rank of IG and posted at IG (Special Branch) and Muzaffarpur Range respectively.

DIG Darbhanga Zone Sudhanshu Kumar has been transferred in the same capacity in Saran Zone, while Zia-Ul Hasan Khan, who was the DIG (Railway) has been made the IG (Wireless), while the DIG (CID) Vinod Kumar has been made the DIG (EOW).

The Rohtas district Manu Maharaj has been posted as the Senior Superintendent of Police of Patna district in place of Amrit Raj, who has been promoted as the Deputy Inspector General of Police and posted in that capacity in Muzaffarpur zone.

Besides Raj - a 1998 batch IPS officer, his three other batchmates K S Anupam, M R Naik and Amit Lodha too have been promoted as DIG.

Anupam, posted as the Bhagalpur SSP has been made the DIG (Railway), while Naik has been posted as the DIG (Bettiah Zone) from his present posting as Bhojpur SSP.

Lodha, who was posted as the Purnia SP, has been made the DIG (CID).
