IPS reshuufle in West Bengal

In a major reshuffle, the West Bengal government today transferred 24 IPS officers including the police chiefs of many districts.

Howrah commissioner of police Ajey Mukund Ranade would be the new IGP (South Bengal) while Hooghly's SP Sunil Kumar Choudhary was transferred in his place, a government notification said.

West Midnapore's SP Sukesh K Jain will be the new Howrah (Rural) SP while Alok Rajoria has been appointed in his place. In Nadia, Bharat Lal Meena will be the new SP.

In South 24 Parganas, SP Praveen Kumar Tripathi was transferred to Hooghly while Devendra Prakash Singh has been appointed in his place.
 

DC (STF) Amit P Javalgi has been asked to take over as the new SP of Darjeeling district.

Alipurduar's SP Akash Magharia has been transferred to the neighbouring Jalpaiguri. Alipurduar's new SP would be Avvaru Ravindranath.

In Kolkata Police, Deputy Commissioner (North) Bastab Baidya has been transferred as the Deputy Commissioner (Central).
