Iranian delegation visits India

A four-member delegation of MPs from Iran visited India from February 26-28, during which they called on External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and held discussions with Parliamentary Standing Committee on Energy, the MEA today said.

The lawmakers were here as part of the Iran-India Parliamentary Friendship Group.

"During the visit, they called on the External Affairs Minister and held discussions with Parliamentary Standing Committee on Energy.

"On the sidelines of the visit, the Iranian delegation visited the Indian Agricultural Research Institute, (Pusa campus), New Delhi for an interactive session, the MEA said in a statement.

The visit was held to promote parliamentary exchanges between the two countries, it said.
