Iraqi police officials say a pair of bombings in and around Baghdad killed at least four people and wounded 13.

The larger of the two took place in the city of Abu Ghraib, about 20 kilometers west of the capital. Police say a bomb exploded on a commercial street killing three people and wounding nine.

In the al-Dora neighborhood of Baghdad, a roadside bomb hit a convoy of Sunni tribesmen killing one and wounding four.

Hospital officials corroborated the casualties. Both spoke on the condition of anonymity because they are not authorised to brief the media.

No one has claimed responsibility for either attack, however officials have linked much of the violence that takes place in Baghdad to the Islamic State militant group.
