Insurance sector regulator Irdai has invited bids from technology firms to refurbish its portal, which is likely to be completed in a few months.
"Irdai wishes to migrate, the existing intranet portal and website (www.Irda.Gov.In), with latest technology, having new look and feel with combined/unified portal for both (internal and external)sites," the regulator said in its request for proposal.
The approximate cost of the tender is Rs 1.45 crore including cost of hardware and software licences supplied, cost of migration, development and implementation.

Irdai expects the portals to be refurbished within 4 months.
The last date for submission of technical and commercial bids for the tender is October 25 by 1500 hours.
Bids will be opened on the same day at 1530 hours.
Both websites wold be required to have appropriate flexibility and scalability that allows easy modifications to meet future requirements and interfacing with related other systems, it said.
"The design should utilise internationally accepted standard to ensure best of UX design, security, ease of implementation and system stability, scalability for future expansion," the regulator said.
