The International Road Federation (IRF) has suggested that Intelligent Transport Systems (IST) be installed on the Yamuna Expressway to reduce accidents, an official of the Geneva-based body said.
Motorists taking the expressway should also be made aware on safety measures and authorities should ensure strict implementation of speed norms, K K Kapila, chairman, IRF, said at a press meet.
The IRF will be organising the World Road Meeting-2017 in Greater Noida from November 14-17.

"The driving condition on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway and the Noida-Agra Expressway are different than other roads. For safe driving ITS along with strict enforcement of speed has to be implemented," Kapila said.
