Irish Prime Minister Leo Varadkar today hailed indications of a resounding referendum majority in favour of overturning an abortion ban as the "culmination of a quiet revolution".
"What we've seen today is the culmination of a quiet revolution that has been taking place in Ireland for the past 10 or 20 years," Varadkar told RTE, Ireland's public broadcaster.
