BJP today alleged irregularities in awarding of tenders for sewer and potable water pipeline projects of Rs 4000 crore in Rajasthan, and demanded an inquiry into the matter.
The party accused the Congress-led state government of favouritism in the allotment of these tenders.
"Tenders of Rs 4000 crore were alloted to contractors in a hush-hush manner, and donations for the party fund were collected on the eve of the Assembly polls," BJP co-incharge of party affairs Kirit Somaiya said here.
The BJP leader demanded a fair probe into the case by a competant authority before the Assembly polls.
