As 30-year-old Sayed Zabiuddin alias Abu Jundal was being continuosly grilled by Delhi police, Indian investigators believe that they would get enough information about ISI and other Pakistani agencies role in 26/11 as well as LeT's deep-rooted links with these so called 'State Actors'.
Zabiuddin told the investigators that he had set up the control room in Karachi for giving instructions to the 10 Pakistani gunmen when the carnage was being carried out.
Sources said today he knew the ISI operatives who were part of the conspiracy, their role and how these 'State Actors' helped the LeT to carry out the country's worst ever terror strike.
Zabiuddin, who was arrested on June 21 after his arrival from Saudi Arabia, knew too much about the Mumbai attack -- planning, selection of militants, their training, logistical arrangements and those who are associated with it from the beginning, they said.
Significantly, the Pakistan High Commission here offered India counter-terrorism cooperation against the backdrop of his arrest, saying Islamabad has been at the forefront in the campaign against terror.
Zabiuddin also told sleuths during his interrogation for the last five days that the spirit of top Lashker-e-Taiba(LeT) cadres including Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi was dampened due to the arrest of Ajmal Kasab, the lone surviving gunman, and prolonging of the Mumbai strike. The siege lasted 60 hours.
A resident of Georai of Beed district in Maharashtra, the accused told interrogators that he been summoned by Muzamil of Lashker ahead of the attack and 10 boys were handed over to him for teaching them Hindi language.
Barely few days ahead of the attack, he was again summoned from Muzaffarabad in Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir(PoK) and was instructed to teach the 10 terrorists about some common words used in Mumbai city and also tell them how to look like a 'Mumbaikar'.
