Israel offers latest technology to AP for cyber security, agri

Israel today offered to provide latest technologies to Andhra Pradesh government for homeland security, cyber security and Internet of Things, agriculture and water management.

It also offered to collaborate with the state in setting up desalination plants, a press release from the Chief Minister's Office said.

These issues came up for discussion during a meeting Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu had with visiting Israeli Ambassador to India Daniel Carmon at the Secretariat here today.

The Ambassador requested the Chief Minister to strengthen the Israel-Andhra Pradesh Joint Working Group to improve cooperation in different fields, the release said.

Carmon invited Chandrababu to visit Israel and the latter agreed to undertake the trip in the near future.
 

Welcoming the Ambassador's offer of providing latest technologies, the Chief Minister wanted the Israeli government to set up centers of innovation and research and a university in the state.
