Israeli Ambassdor calls on Nitish, discusses research centres

Israel's Ambassador to India Daniel Carmon today met Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and discussed two agricultural research centres being built by the Jwish nation in the state.

The Israeli Ambassador met Kumar at his 1, Anne Marg residence here, an official statement said.

Carmon told Kumar about his country extending help to India in building agricultural research centres. Two such "centre of excellence" are coming up in Bihar.

While one would come up at Nalanda on research in vegetables the second such centre would be in Vaishali related to research in the field of mango and litchis.

The farmers would be trained in the newer technology in the farm sector at these centres.
 

The Israeli Ambassdor evinced interest in extending assistance to Bihar in the field of new technology, the statement said.

Principal Secretary Chanchal Kumar and Secretary in the CMO Atish Chandra were present on the occasion.
