Israeli medical device firms seek cooperation avenues in India

A delegation of top Israeli medical device firms are meeting Indian healthcare providers, distributors and importers in Mumbai and Delhi to explore the opportunities of working with them.

The Israeli delegation had business-to-business meetings with Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital and Hinduja Hospital in Mumbai and Fortis, Rockland, Medanta, Max and Artimis hospitals in Delhi.

Commenting on the development, Israeli Ambassador to India Daniel Carmon said: "I am confident that Israeli medical device technologies can and will have a strong and positive effect in India and strengthen the partnership between the two countries."

The medical devices firms that are part of the delegation include InSightec, LevEl Diagnostics, Maabarot, MCS, Persys Medical, Trig Medical and Tuttnauer, among others.
 

"Many Israeli companies are keen to be a part of the rapidly developing Indian healthcare system that is striving to provide the best medical procedures and services to the Indian public. There is no doubt this cooperation is beneficial to both sides," Israel's Commercial Attache Yoni Ben-Zaken said.

Israeli companies are focusing on segments like Diabetics, Cardiovascular and Peripheral Vascular, Gynaecology & Women Health, Oncology and Neurosurgery, Intensive Care, Orthopaedic, EMR, Rehabilitation, Wound Management and Obstetrics.
