Israeli President condoles loss of lives in train accident

Israeli President Reuven Rivlin today condoled the loss of lives in the derailment of Indore- Patna Express near Kanpur.

"Let me start by expressing my heartfelt and deepest condolences on the tragic train accident that happened today. I would like to convey to all the families who lost their dears condolences to say how sorry we are," Rivlin said here.

The Israeli President made the remarks while addressing the 'CII Agro Tech 2016' as the Guest of Honour.

The four-day international agriculture fair was inaugurated by President Pranab Mukherjee.

Over 100 passengers were killed and more than 200 injured, nearly half of them grievously, when 14 coaches of the Indore-Patna Express derailed near Pukhraya in Kanpur dehat district in the wee hours today.
