iSushil to be felicitated at J&K Dangal

Two time Olympic medallist Sushil Kumar and his coach Yashvir Singh will be felicitated at the 9th Rustam-E-International Indian Style Dangal on October 11, the organisers announced today.

World junior bronze medallist Satyawart and Asian junior bronze medal winner Parveen will be seen in action besides grapplers from foreign countries at the Multipurpose Sports Stadium in Katra, the base camp of cave shrine of Mata Vaishnodevi.

The wrestlers from Pakistan have not been invited to for this event for the first time.

"On the occasion of 9th Rustam-E-International Indian Style Dangal 2013 on October 11, world champion and Olympic medallist, wrestler Sushil Kumar and his coach Yashvir Singh will throng the event and would also be honoured," President J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association Shiv Kumar Sharma told reporters.
 

Sharma said that international wrestlers from England, Ukraine and Belarus have already confirmed their participation in the famous wrestling competition of the state besides Indians that includes Satyawart (Hind Kesari 2013), Yudhvir Singh (Hind Kesari 2012) and Parveen.

Also, wrestlers from Maharashtra, Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Utter Pradesh, Chandigarh, Railways, BSF and J&K Police would compete in the event.

The winners of Rustam-E-International Indian Style Dangal will be awarded Rs 1 lakh, a Sliver Guraj and Patta while second, third and fourth place finishers will get Rs 50,000, Rs 30,000 and 20,000 respectively.

Similarly, winner of Jammu & Kashmir Kesari Title gets Rs 20,000 a Silver Guraj and Patta while second, third and fourth will be awarded with Rs 15000, Rs 10000 and Rs 5000 respectively.
