India today chose not comment on Pakistan's top anti-corruption body ordering a probe against former Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif over charges of laundering USD 4.9 billion to India.

External Affairs Ministry Spokesperson Raveesh Kumar said it was for Sharif to respond to the charges.

"This is something on which former Prime Minister Sharif has to respond," Kumar told reporters in reply to a question on the issue.

Pakistan's National Accountability Bureau on Tuesday ordered a probe against Sharif and others for allegedly laundering USD 4.9 billion to India, according to Pakistani media reports.
