On a high after the fan frenzy during a song launch of his upcoming film, superstar-MP Dev today said he had never any doubt about losing out on popularity count despite being off from theatres for nine months.

"Had you watched the way the crowd reacted at Bindass track launch. Don't think I had been missing from action for months. It looks like nine days and not months," Dev told PTI here.

Dev, whose last film 'Chander Pahar' had been released in last January, said he looked forward to the shooting sequence of a Bindass song in Greece by next month.

"It is a party song and very cool. The like our youth can connect and identify with," he said about the unveiled track on you tube which already registered hit.

Director Rajiv Biswas said, "From the way he is cheered at every public place, from the way he had been greeted at every public show, we had never any doubt about Dev's diminishing popularity. He has his unique, impish charm, and he is superb in foot movements as you all had seen from Khoka 420, to Bindass."

Produced by Shri Venkatesh films, Bindass will be released during July.
