Actor Mark Wahlberg, who is set to receive the MTV Generation Award, says the honour makes him feel like he is getting old.

The 42-year-old actor will be given the accolade at the MTV Movie Awards next month and he is elated with the honour, reported Contactmusic.

"You know what that means? It means you're really old. It means you're old. I'm embracing it. I never thought I'd make it this far," Wahlberg said.

The actor said having four children, Ella, 11, Michael, eight, Brendan, six, and Grace, four, with his wife Rhea Durham has helped him in playing the role of a father in his upcoming film 'Transformers' sequel, 'Transformers: Age Of Extinction'.

"I'm playing a dad, embracing the fact that I'm getting a little bit older, having a daughter who's not quite a teenager yet, but knowing what that's gonna be like," he said.
