The Income-Tax department today conducted raids at 39 places of a liquor company in Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal.
Due to alleged underpayment of taxes by liquor company "Good Host", 25 places in Bihar and 14 others in Jharkhand and West Bengal were raided, Director, Income-Tax Investigation), Bihar and Jharkhand, Kumar Sanjay told PTI.
The approximately Rs 250 crore-company used false papers to show a profit of 0.5 per cent and pay taxes accordingly whereas the actual profit was much more, he said.

"Searches are going on and many documents have been seized so far," the IT Director said.
