It's PM discretion whom he makes minister: Joshi

Senior BJP leader Murli Manohar Joshi today said that it is a sole discretion of the Prime Minister whom he will make a minister in his Cabinet.

"It's a sole discretion of the Prime Minister whom he makes a minister," Joshi told reporters here.

When asked about being included in the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led Cabinet at the Centre, the Kanpur MP said there are many ministers in the Cabinet from Uttar Pradesh who will help resolve issues of the people of the City.

"There are many ministers included in the Cabinet from Uttar Pradesh like Rajnath Singh and Kalraj Mishra who are acquainted with problems of Kanpur and will address those too," Joshi said.
 

On the ongoing power crisis in the state, including Kanpur, he said the state government should at first take steps to stop power theft in the direction of resolving the issue.

Ridiculing the state government over the Badaun gangrape case, the BJP leader, while mentioning the incident of buffalo theft of state minister Azam Khan, said the state administration had put its all efforts to search his buffaloes but remained inactive when a girl was disappeared.

"State administration puts its all efforts in searching the buffaloes of a minister but remains inactive when a girl disappears," Joshi said.
