India's Davis Cup coach Zeeshan Ali says fitness of players and their ability to cope with the tough conditions will be the deciding factor in the upcoming Davis Cup tie.

The temperature is hovering over 35 degrees, making the conditions really tough for the players, together with slow courts at DLTA.

"It's (court) a bit slow and hot. More than the game, it will be battle of nerves. It will come down to who the fitter player is because the conditions are not easy," Zeeshna told PTI after Indian team's practise session.

Zeeshan and Somdev Devvarman came to Delhi before the other members of the team and the coach says it will work to Somdev's advantage.

"Somdev is hitting the ball well but what's important is that he came early and getting an extra session definitely going to make a good difference in him getting used to the whole environment, the conditions because it is different kind of heat than what these guys were playing in the US Open."

"That's the advatage we will have, I was happy to see that weather is still warm in Delhi."

Asked about the tips he was giving to Somdev about his service, Zeeshan said there is not much scope to suggest many things to the players since they spend little time together.

"With our experience we can share two three small things that can help them get the game back. And in Somdev's case, not much goes up and sown. He is very solid. The other guy has to play better to beat him. He is very consistent.
