Italian Ambassador to India Lorenzo Angeloni today inaugurated an exhibition at National Gallery of Modern Art to commemorate 70th anniversary of Indo-Italy bilateral ties.

The exhibition -- Codici --showcases art works Codici, Codici a Tratti, and Fonte created by artists Licia Galizia and Michelangelo Lupone. These sculptural music art works react when they are touched.

The innovative conception of these art works is based on complete integration of music to plastic form by carrying sound to scenic space, Galizia said.

"Even visually impaired audience can enjoy the artwork by touching it since the elements' surface is engraved. Due to material we use, there is a pleasure in touching it, " Galizia added.

Director General of National Gallery of Modern Art Adwaita Charan Garanayak was also present on the occasion.
