A cancer screening camp for women personnel and the wives of Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) servicemen is being held in the national capital.
A hundred and fifty women were screened on the first day of the camp today, a senior official said.

"ITBP has launched a special drive for cancer screening of its female employees and the wives (of its personnel). This will not only help in early detection (of cancer) but also prevent loss of highly-trained combat and specialised women's power.
"It takes lakhs of rupees and several years to train a woman soldier or technical staff in a security force like ITBP," a statement from the force said.
As part of the two-day camp, women will be screened for breast and cervical cancer while tests will also be conducted for sugar, bone density and blood pressure.
The camp, at present being held in Delhi, will later be organised across various formations of the force in the country.
