India Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) today signed an agreement with Jamia Millia Islamia to jointly offer a three-year Bachelors of Vocation (B.Voc) degree in food production.
It will also offer a one-year diploma in hospitality through the Ashok Institute of Hospitality and Tourism Management, one of the premier PSU hospitality training institutes of the country under ITDC.
The program will be operated under the department of tourism, hotel, hospitality, and heritage studies (DTHHHS), faculty of humanities and languages of the university.

Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC) today said it will promote the state as the preferred destination for medical and wellness tourism at the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2018.
"While the segment (medical tourism) is largely untapped and caters to a niche segment of travellers, we have seen a steady growth in this sector due to the quality and economically friendly services the state has to offer," Maharashtra tourism and employment guarantee scheme minister Jaykumar Rawal said in a statement here.
He said, the government is aiming to position Maharashtra as a medical and wellness tourism hub and is in the process of signing an MoU with the Indo-Arab Chambers of Commerce and Industries to highlight lucrative investment prospects within the sector.
