With the scheduled Commissioner Metro Rail Safety (CMRS) inspection for the upcoming ITO station due, Metro services would operate on a single line between Central Secretariat and Mandi House stations for about an hour tomorrow.

The CMRS inspection of the Mandi House to ITO section of the line comes after months of delay over technical issues pertaining to the Metro Railway General Rules.

"From 11.00 AM to 12.15 PM, the services between Central Secretariat to Mandi House section will be run on single line which may cause little delay in services in this small section.

"In order to avoid delay during this period, passengers are advised to use the Rajiv Chowk station and Central Secretariat station as inter-change points for travelling from Line-3/4 (Blue Line) to Line-6 (Violet Line) and vice versa," a DMRC statement said.

Recently, the Urban Development Ministry amended and notified changes to the Metro Railway General Rules, 2013 to allow operations on single-line sections, which was a major stumbling block in operationalising the line.
