Trade promotion agency ITPO has appointed Ajay Kumar Bhalla as its Chairman and Managing Director, which will be in addition to his existing charge of Additional Secretary, Department of Commerce.
Bhalla, a 1984 batch IAS officer, assumed office on July 3, India Trade Promotion Organisation said in a statement.

Nissan inaugurates parts distribution centre for north India * Japanese carmaker Nissan today inaugurated its new parts distribution centre for north India as part of its commitment to improve customer service.
The new facility, which is situated at Gurgaon, will help to reduce the delivery lead time of parts to Nissan customers by up to nine days, Nissan Motor India said in a statement.

RattanIndia to set up 5 MW rooftop solar project in MP * RattanIndia Apna Solar today said that it has inked power purchase agreement and project implementation agreement (PIA) with Madhya Pradesh Madhya Kshetra Vidyut Vitran in Bhopal to develop 5 MW grid connected rooftop solar power project in Madhya Pradesh.
RattanIndia Apna Solar won the order through competitive bidding, the company said in a statement, adding that this is one of the first rooftop solar projects tendered in India.
