J and K govt approves Rs 93 crore annual plan for Udhampur

A plan allocation of Rs 93.43 crore for district Udhampur has been approved for the financial year 2012-13 at the District Development Board meeting chaired by the Deputy Chief Minister, Tara Chand here.

The approved outlay includes Rs 37.14 crore as revenue and Rs 56.29 crore as capital component respectively.

Addressing the meeting yesterday, the Deputy Chief Minister exhorted upon the officers to put in their sincere and dedicated efforts for proper utilisation of funds by ensuring time-bound completion of development works in a transparent manner.

The Deputy CM directed the officers to conduct frequent visits of remote and hilly areas to monitor the development works pertaining to their departments so that best results could be ensured on ground with no compromise on the quality of works.

 

For the purpose, he asked the District Development Commissioner to hold fortnightly review meetings of different departments for accessing the progress of different schemes being executed for the welfare of the common masses, he said.

He also instructed him to conduct surprise visits at different locations of the district to ascertain the quality of works on weekly basis and accordingly fix up responsibilities upon those officers who fail to maintain the quality of works.
