J and K govt sanctions 1100 posts of Assistant Professors

"The state cabinet which met under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah last evening sanctioned creation of 1,129 posts of Assistant Professors for various government degree colleges," an official spokesman said.

The spokesman said the cabinet also approved the transfer of land belonging to Jammu and Kashmir Industries at Muthi in Jammu against a compensation of Rs 50 lakh per kanal and six kanals of land belonging to J-K Industries situated at Solina Srinagar against payment of compensation of Rs 70 lakh per kanal to the Service Selection Board of J and K for construction of its office complexes.

 

The cabinet also approved allotment of land measuring 16,000 square feet on lease in favour of Life Insurance Corporation of India at Srinagar.
