BJP's Jammu and Kashmir state unit chief Jugal Kishore Sharma today filed filed nomination from Jammu Lok Sabha constituency, and said the upcoming elections were to elect Narendra Modi as the next Prime Minister.

Sharma filed his papers before Returning officer and Jammu Deputy Commissioner Ajit Kumar Sahu, in presence of BJP Legislative Party leader Ashok Khajuria, and party MLAs Sukhnandan Kumar and Sham Choudhary.

Sharma reached the Returning Officer's office in a rally that began at Indira Chowk and passed through main bazaars of Jammu city.

After filing his nomination, the BJP candidate said, "I am going to the public to seek votes on the name of good governance, development, people-friendly policies, welfare of weaker sections, grant of rights to refugees, resolving problems of border people, farmers, ensuring honour of women and creation of employment opportunities."

There is a massive wave in favour of BJP and it is for the first time that the people of Kashmir are pinning their faith in the BJP under the inspiring leadership of party president Rajnath Singh and Modi.

He said Modi is the hope of the country and he has the capacity, ability and the necessary will to enable the country to achieve all round progress and rid the country of all the anti-democratic and anti-people forces.
