Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti today reached Kishtwar district during a three-day tour of the Chenab valley as part of her public outreach programme, an official spokesperson said.
The Chief Minister convened a day-long public grievances redressal camp in Kishtwar and spoke to people from the remote areas of the district, he said.
Mehbooba has so far conducted such programmes at Pulwama, Anantnag, Kuglam, Kupwara, Budgam, Baramulla, Bandipora and Ganderbal in Kashmir and Ramban, Samba and Kathua districts in Jammu province.
Major demands put forth during the camp in Kishtwar included start of work on the Vailoo-Singhpora tunnel, setting up of a skill-development institute for the upcoming power projects in the region, establishment of a womens college and completion of the Naigarh water supply scheme, the official said.
