Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti today began a two-day grievance-redressal camp in south Kashmir's Kulgam district as part of her public outreach programme.

During the camp, the chief minister took note of grievances and demands put forth by several delegations and individuals, an official spokesman said here.

They apprised her of their developmental needs and sought their redressal, he said

The demands included rationalisation of administrative units, opening of fire service stations, augmentation of drinking water schemes, strengthening road network and health facilities in the district among others, the spokesman said.

In many cases, the chief minister issued directions on the spot and announced release of funds for various developmental works, he said.

So far, Mufti has conducted such programmes at Pulwama, Anantnag, Kupwara, Budgam and Baramulla in the Kashmir valley and Ramban, Samba and Kathua districts in Jammu province.
