J&K Crime Branch books pvt company for fraud

Jammu and Kashmir's Crime Branch today booked a private company for allegedly supplying sub-standard and inferior quality of steel rods to various government units in the state.

A case has been registered against Jhelum Steel Industries SIDCO complex Samba and others officials under Section 420,, 120-B RPC read with section 5(2) P C Act Svt 2006, for supply of inferior quality and sub-standard iron rods to various government units and store and procurement department Jammu, Crime Branch, officials said.

A complaint lodged on behalf of residents of Jammu was received by Crime Branch, Jammu, wherein it was alleged that Jhelum Steel Industries, was manufacturing iron rods of inferior quality in the absence of any specialised plant by using substandard material and thereafter supplying the same to government agencies and civilians which may result in some human loss and effect the public in general, they said.
