A CRPF jawan has allegedly committed suicide by consuming poison in Katra belt of Reasi district here.
The jawan Manoj Kumar, a native of Haryana consumed some poisonous substances at the force's Kakryal training camp last evening, police said.
He was rushed to a hospital where doctors declared him dead on arrival, they said, adding that a case has been registered and inquest proceedings started to know the exact cause behind the extreme step.
